Ecommerce Platform

An ecommerce microservices platform on Amazon EKS, provisioned with Terraform and delivered through secure CI/CD and GitOps. Built with managed AWS data services, automated scaling, and end-to-end observability.

Secure CI/CD & GitOps

GitHub Actions builds and tests code, runs security scans, builds Docker images, scans them with Trivy, and pushes them to Amazon ECR. GitHub OIDC provides AWS authentication without long-lived access keys. Manifest updates in Git are reconciled to EKS by Argo CD.

Private application networking

The ui, catalog, cart, checkout, and orders services run in the micro-tier namespace on private EKS worker nodes. AWS Load Balancer Controller provisions an Application Load Balancer in public subnets from Kubernetes Ingress. Users reach the application through the ALB, with no direct public access to pods.

AWS-managed data services

Catalog uses RDS MySQL; cart uses DynamoDB; checkout uses ElastiCache Redis; orders uses RDS PostgreSQL and Amazon SQS.

Secrets & least-privilege access

AWS Secrets Manager holds application and database secrets, which the Secrets Store CSI Driver mounts into pods. EKS Pod Identity grants selected workloads least-privilege access to AWS services.

Scaling & availability

Karpenter provisions EC2 worker nodes for pending pods using NodePools and EC2NodeClass. Horizontal Pod Autoscaler adjusts application replicas, while PodDisruptionBudgets limit disruption during voluntary maintenance.

Metrics, logs & traces

ADOT collects Kubernetes and application telemetry, remote-writes Prometheus metrics to Amazon Managed Service for Prometheus, sends logs to CloudWatch Logs, and sends traces to AWS X-Ray. Amazon Managed Grafana queries AMP for dashboards.

Experimental AIOps

A separate experimental path uses a read-only Lambda evidence collector to query AMP and provide structured metric evidence for Bedrock-related AIOps components. This is distinct from the core application delivery and operations workflow.

About me

I’m an AWS Certified DevOps Engineer with 5+ years of experience designing, automating, and supporting scalable cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and Kubernetes platforms across enterprise and high-growth environments.

My work focuses on AWS, Amazon EKS, Terraform, Docker, GitOps, DevSecOps, and observability. I build reliable systems with strong attention to security, scalability, performance, and operational efficiency. Through automation, Kubernetes orchestration, improved monitoring, and streamlined delivery workflows, I have reduced deployment and incident response times by 60%.

I apply SRE practices such as SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, blameless postmortems, graceful degradation, and high-availability design. I also build observability into distributed systems using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Jaeger, OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, and AWS X-Ray.
